Sudha Hajela has been an artist in various media for most of her life, including watercolor, oil and acrylic painting, pottery, and jewelry design. She won several art competitions as a young adult growing up in India, but her love for geometry eventually led her into a career in architecture. After immigrating to the United States, she continued to work as an architect while also expressing her creativity via painting, pottery and jewelry making. Her artistic practice has been deeply influenced by her experience as an architect. Having spent over three decades designing buildings, with a focus in the latter part of her career in the planning of hospitals and healthcare related projects, it is now her desire to share her art with the world. She now paints primarily in acrylic, and dabbles in pottery. Sudha lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
